FREE IT TRAINING FOR 16-19 YEAR OLDS

Are you aged 16-19 and in full-time education?
As long as you are registered with a school that participates in the TVC scheme you are eligible. Check with your school's TVC advisor if you are not sure.
Do you like working with IT?
If you enjoy working with IT, come to us and develop your skills and abilities to learn how to use computers in a business environment.
Will you be looking for a job that requires IT skills?
Nowadays the computer is the tool we use the most in the workplace. We need to be able to operate the most common software programmes such as Word Processing, Spreadsheets, Databases, PowerPoint, Desktop Publishing and Email.
Do you want to gain an IT qualification that employers recognise?
Some people already have good IT skills but need to have a recognised IT qualification to prove their competence to employers. Take a look at our IT Courses Leaflet to see the courses on offer.
Level 1 qualifications will qualify you to do a basic job but could also lead to a Level 2 Apprenticeship in IT.
Level 2 qualifications will qualify you to carry out intermediate IT skills and could also lead to a Level 3 Apprenticeship in IT.
Do you want to achieve a Level 3 IT qualification that is equivalent to an A Level?
The Level 3 Certificate in IT User Skills (ITQ) is equivalent to an A Level and carries 29 QCF Credits at Level 3.
A Level 3 qualification can lead towards a route into Higher Education.
WHAT CAN WE DO FOR YOU?
Marjon Open Learning Unit (molu) provides IT Training for most recognised vocational IT qualifications. You can select from a range of Microsoft Office software to create your qualification.
We can guide you to select the appropriate module and level . We will also support you through your learning process. The list of courses we offer can be found below:

WHAT TO DO NEXT?
If interested, why don't you attend a Taster Session at molu. In the Taster Session you will be able to try out the course to see what it's like. It will also give you the chance to see the UCP Marjon campus and the IT training room. We will be able to advise you if the course is suitable for you.
We can also show you other courses that you may have not considered looking at.
The Taster Session lasts for one hour.
