Halls of Residence
We have 7 halls of residence on campus:
- Cromwell
- Hudson
- Clark
- Coleridge
- Kay-Shuttleworth
- Tufnell
- Dix
Students in Halls of Residence will be allocated a single, shared or en-suite study bedroom. Each bedroom consists of:
- a single bed
- mattress
- mattress cover
- bedside cabinet
- wardrobe
- desk
- desk chair
- waste bin
Some bedrooms also have a chest of drawers and an easy chair. Bedrooms are carpeted and have a blind . All bedrooms have central heating and bedrooms that are not en-suite have a wash hand basin.
Each student will have access to toilet and shower facilities, kitchen facilities and a communal room shared between 5 to 9 students. Where rooms have shared facilities the flats will be single sex, en-suite flats will be mixed.
Each hall is three storey and there are no lifts.
COSTS 2012/13:
Standard single room £95 per week
Twin room on a single occupancy £100 per week
Twin room shared £65 per person per week
En-suite single room £110 per week
inclusive of heating, lighting, WiFi internet access with computer support and personal contents insurance cover.
Your Licence to Occupy is for 41 weeks irrespective of your course commitments.
The Dining-In-Scheme costs £790, all students allocated in Halls of Residence must participate in this scheme.
Kitchens in Halls of Residence are supplied with an ironing board, kettle, fridge, freezer, microwave, cooker and toaster.
In order to secure your room you will need to:
- sign and return your Licence Agreement
- sign and return your residence fees payment agreement
- pay a £250 deposit prior to your arrival
Licence Agreements are fixed for the academic year including the Christmas and Easter vacations. You are unable to terminate your Licence Agreement unless you are withdrawing or interrupting your course. No refunds of residence fees will be made in respect of placement.
